Two callings, one mission
John York grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the son of two pastors. The call to share the gospel was less a discovery than an inheritance he chose to carry. From teaching 150 elementary students as a children's pastor to serving on the speaker team of a congregation of 2,000, John has spent his life in the local church: preaching, building teams, and finding better ways to care for people.
Along the way, a second calling emerged. With a master's in Advanced Analytics from NC State, John kept noticing the same thing in every church he served: ministry teams drowning in manual work that technology could carry. So he started building. A proximity tool he created to match members to home churches became CareRadius. His sermon-prep workflow became Scripture Link. His research discipline became Margin Pro. Every tool he's shipped began as a real need in a real church.
John has served as a campus pastor and digital innovation lead, consulting with Meta on technology solutions for Christian organizations, and helped lead a church through growth from 600 to 2,000 weekly members. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Strategic Leadership at Oral Roberts University (class of 2027), bridging organizational health and spiritual fruitfulness.
John lives in Roswell, Georgia, with his wife of seven years, Ava, and their daughter, Rose.
